Subcontract agents

A debt collection agency uses a package to record its contracts to collect debts, together with additional bespoke reports and enquiries maintained by its own in-house IT department. Unfortunately, this department was overstretched and thus lacked the resources to develop a module to control subcontract field agents who actually collect the debts.

In this instance the IT Manager was able to produce a specification for the necessary work, and Kenelm Systems developed a subsystem to run alongside the main application to record and control the activities of agents. The system, which replaced an ungainly mass of spreadsheets and manual procedures, now ensures that the debts assigned to the agents are collected within agreed timescales, and that those agents are paid the commission due to them. Once again, the business benefits from tighter controls and fewer errors - leading to improved cash flow and greater profitability

This project reflects the situation with many of our clients, where we actively work with a company's IT Manager and become a trusted part of their team.
